Nico came to me after finding this portfolio website, inspired by what he saw he wanted something in a similar vein and this is what we came up with together.
My site was the source of inspiration for Nico so it was really important that his website was not a carbon copy of mine. Also Nico and the team wanted to be able to add new projects as and when they wanted, on a build as interactive as this one, adding a CMS was always going to be a challenge.
Creating a web animation out the Kruijter logo mark was top billing for Nico and co. Implementing the Webflow CMS on the projects section allowing the Kruijter crew to add and remove projects and will. We overcame limitations on the platform with very clever use of Iframes and ingenuity!
The "Portfolio" section is powered by a CMS which allows Nico and his team to add new pieces of work when ever they want to in a standardized fashion. The site was built using HTML5 standards. All HTML, CSS and JS are minified, with responsive image compression on inline images, all of this is delivered by the lightning fast Amazon S3 Content Delivery Network.
The layout was always going to be the big differentiating factor from my website, so the navigation is fixed to the left and the pages slide in from right, creating a layering effect.
