Sheerness Holiday Park

Client: Cosgrove Leisure
Design & Art Direction: Aaron Grieve

Cosgrove Leisure are having a major overhaul of there online business, they run and operate three large caravan and residential lodge sites in the southeast of the UK.

CHALLENGE

There old website although filled with information, it lacked structure and a cohesive theme. Also they were faced with not being able make updates, or adding new lodges that came up for sale. Chasing leads and the websites traffic was an unknown quantity, that they wanted to be able to measure.

Solution

Culling a lot of superfluous and repeated information was undertaken by a copywriter, allowing only interesting and needed information to remain. I implemented the Webflow CMS so the team and I are able to add and make changes to the website as and when needed. Finally adding Hotjar, Google Analytics and Intercom to the website, which has garnered lots of interesting and useful data, and Intercom allows the team to chat directly with visiting customers who have question about the site and the lodges for sale.

SKILLS & MATERIALS: HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, CMS

The Lodge For Sale page is powered directly by the Webflow CMS, allowing the team to add and remove lodges as they become available and as they are sold, there is also conditional logic in play, e.g. when a field is not submitted in the CMS the page will not display the static items surround the dynamic data, this means that there will never be a missing field from the users perspective, this type of detail is important for building the clients trust.

Layout

It was important to keep this build and layout as simple as possible, the demographic and visitors to the website are looking for easy to gather information about the site itself or for the potential for owning a lodge at the site, so delivering this information was the highest priority.
